Join us and a host of fantastic guest speakers on the evening before Dragonmeet (Friday 28th Nov 2025) for an evening of TTRPG industry networking and knowledge sharing.
This event is completely FREE but be sure to grab a ticket to get entrance.
What's On?
Whether you’re just getting started or an industry veteran, MuppetMeet '25 will have something for you. There are two tracks of seminars occurring over the evening, the Business Track and the Creative Track, each aiming to provide specific and useful information no matter your focus within the industry. Plus the balcony lounge will serve as a dedicated, no-alcohol, networking space and is open throughout the evening.

18:00: I Took This Marketing Course So You Don’t Have To
with Mol Joule (they/them) Marketing & Events Manager at SoulMuppet
Mol did some professional development lately, and went on a Lvl 3: Digital Marketing Course. It took them a lot of time; they went to lots of lectures and had to write a load of essays. Their talk at MuppetMeet will distill all of this down into a neatly organised talk that will get you well on track to growing and professionalising your marketing setup. They will cover topics like building a brand, website design, SEO, advertising on different platforms, writing copy, brand-based graphic design, customer personas, and much much more.

The last ten years have been a barrage of bother for TTRPG producers: Brexit, pandemics, taxes and tariffs and travel restrictions, GDPRs, GSPRs and EUDRs, and a million other alphabet mafias of rules and restrictions. There’s always something scary and world ending on the horizon, threatening to turn your business upside down, and these four veterans of the TTRPG industry are going to talk about getting yourself ready for these worries and woes.

18:00: Being a Book Sicko: A Crash Course in Printing
with Zach Cox (they/them) Director of SoulMuppet
Renowned paper propagandist, finishing fanatic and binding buff Zachary Cox, Director of SoulMuppet Publishing and former Producer at Rowan, Rook and Decard, is going to give you all the juicy secrets of book printing and production. They’ll cover every step of the process: who to talk to, where to print, what kind of things can even be done? Join them to learn about the tiny slice of the venn diagram where potential meets practicality in RPG printing. The talk will be relevant to anyone, whether they’re interested in short runs of zines or ordering a dozen pallets of box sets.

Art is about politics and games are art, right? Witness some of the UK’s foremost leftist games designers and their discussion about the role of socially conscious games in our industry, as well as their thoughts on how to make them.

Breaks and timings
There's a roughly 15 minute buffer built into every step of the schedule to let folks filter in and out of rooms and account for any sessions running over.
I have an issue - who do I talk to?
Any member of the SoulMuppet team can help. We'll introduce ourselves at the start of the event, but here's a few identifying features so you can spot us in the crowd:

We'll also be wearing purple SoulMuppet lanyards!
Accessibility
The venue is physically accessible with lifts.
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a BSL interpreter.

About Our Speakers
Zachary Cox aka JellyMuppet (they/them) serves as the Director of SoulMuppet Publishing. They are the moon-obssessed creator of Inevitable, Paint The Town Red and Best Left Buried, and one of the co-creators of Orbital Blues. Zach is a seasoned RPG creator and producer, who makes ideas into books. They dabble in everything from printing, distribution and product and project management.
Mol Joule (they/them) is SoulMuppet’s Events and Marketing Manager so you can often find them in their froggy hoodie hunched over making silly posts on bsky or running convention stands and other awesome events. Outside of SoulMuppet, Mol also makes and designs TTRPGs and a wide range of multimedia art @molomoot.
Eryk Sawicki (he/him) is a pierogi-core graphic designer in Leeds. He’s SoulMuppet’s Operations Manager on some days and runs Peregrine Coast Press, a boutique retailer and distributor of RPGs on others. He used to work as a branch organiser at the Game Workers branch of the IWGB union.
Kay Lubwika Bartlett (she/her) is the CEO and co-owner of Roll & Play Press, an independent TTRPG publisher making D&D compatible books and tools for GMs. Kay used to be a lawyer specialising in defamation and IP litigation, but swapped court bundles for dice and character sheets to launch Roll & Play Press back in 2020. Since then, Roll & Play Press has raised over £1.5 million through crowdfunding and has broken through to the mainstream, getting their best-selling book One-Shot Wonders stocked nationwide in Waterstones, Foyles and Blackwell’s, and published on D&D Beyond.
Emmet Byrne (he/him) has worked in senior positions within the tabletop RPG industry for over 6 years. He is an award-winning writer, game designer, and producer with a passion for creating games and giving players the tools to tell their own stories. He has worked on some of the most beloved IPs in the world, including Doctor Who, The Lord of the Rings, and Warhammer, and was the lead designer and writer on Soulbound, the first-ever tabletop roleplaying game set in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar universe. Emmet has also designed a number of successful Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition games, and recently raised over €200k for Beyond the Woods — an Irish-inspired dark fantasy setting with a focus on exploration and survival.
Cat Tobin (she/her) is an award-winning publisher based in West Cork. She co-owns Pelgrane Press and is a long-time contributor to the RPG industry in the UK and Ireland, doing everything from writing and design, to marketing, finance, and running conventions. She likes coffee, hates mornings, and has never understood the em dash.
Helen Gould (any/all) wears several hats, including as a writer, speaker, and sensitivity consultant, plus being Head of Inclusion at Rusty Quill Ltd. Their clients have included TTRPG publishers like Rowan, Rook & Decard; Renegade Games; MacGuffin & Co; Black Armada; Leyline Press; and many more.
Luke Gearing (he/him) mostly writes unpleasant (positive) adventures. He now works for Tuesday Knight Games.
George Francis Bickers (he/him) is the studio lead at Three Sails Studios, an indie TTRPG design studio and publisher based in Manchester. He is the creator and designer of Mappa Mundi – An Exploration + Ecology RPG, crowdfunded and released in 2025, and the forthcoming Gallows Corner – A Peasants’ Revolt RPG. Working under the design philosophy ‘The real world, done fantastically’, George’s work is interested in the experiences and heroics of everyday people in extraordinary situations, and the ability to change the world from the ground up.
Laurie O’Connel (he/him) is a writer, journalist and political organiser. His RPG writing can be found at twelvepinspress.com. His political and cultural writing can be found at marxist.com and communist.red
David Blandy (he/him) is an artist and game designer, thinking through our ecologically altered future by breaking things in order to put them back together again. He makes games with Copy/Paste Co-op and organises exhibitions and events with Dying Earth Catalogue.
Aida Brañez (she/her) is a queer, immigrant, Latine woman of color in the Netherlands who performs, produces, promotes and does project management for the award-winning EUphoria. As a co-founder, her focus is uplifting Europe-based POC in TTRPG Actual Plays.
